Howdy, I’m Steve
I’ve been here at Snodderley Lumber since the very beginning, over 60 years ago. I grew up in this lumberyard, and so did my kids.
I’ve picked up a lifetime of know-how about lumber and hardware, and I’m always up to visit and share a few stories.
You’ll likely spot my old black lab, Zorro, nearby—he’s been my shadow for years.

Meet Zorro
Meet Zorro, Steve’s loyal companion!
Zorro, a black lab with a laid-back personality, is a regular fixture here at the lumberyard.
He’s not in a rush to get anywhere—his favorite activities include following Steve around the yard, laying in the middle of the aisle to be part of the action, and keeping a close eye on Steve to make sure he doesn’t slip away unnoticed.
Don’t be surprised if you spot him taking a nap nearby—he’s always on the job, just at his own pace. Rest assured, Zorro is as friendly as they come and loves being around people!
